Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account for Vylvet, the app published by BeautyGoGo, Inc., and exactly what happens to your information when you do.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This takes about ten seconds and needs nobody's permission.

1. Open the Vylvet app.
2. Tap Account in the bar at the bottom.
3. Sign in, if you are not already.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
5. Confirm when you are asked. Deletion happens immediately.

If you have been signed in for a long time, the app may ask you to sign in again first. That is a security check by our authentication provider, not a delay we have added.

Ask us to delete it instead

If you have already removed the app, or you would rather not do it yourself, emailinfo@vylvet.co from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done. We may need to verify that the address is yours before we act, which protects you from somebody else closing your account.

You can also use the same address to ask for a copy of what we hold, to have something corrected, or to have specific information deleted without closing your account.

What is deleted

Immediately, and it cannot be undone:

• Your account itself, and the sign-in credentials attached to it.
• Your name and email address as we hold them.
• Every delivery address you have saved.
• Everything the app keeps on your device: your saved items, recently viewed shops, your local order history and your notifications.

What is kept, and why

Orders you have already placed stay with the shop that fulfilled them.We cannot delete those on the shop's behalf, and this is the one part of this page worth reading twice.

Every order on Vylvet is a sale by an independent local business, not by us. That business needs its record of the sale to handle refunds and disputes, to be paid, and to meet its own tax and accounting obligations, which in most places run to several years. Deleting a completed sale from a shop's books is not something a marketplace gets to do.

Once your account is gone those records are no longer connected to a Vylvet account. If you want a specific shop to delete what it holds about you, contact that shop directly and we will help you reach them.

We never held your card details at any point. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own pages, so there is nothing of that kind for us to delete.

How long it takes

• Deleting in the app: immediate.
• Asking us by email: within 30 days, and usually the same week.
• Backups: copies may persist in routine backups for up to 90 days before they are overwritten. They are not used for anything in the meantime.
